Emanuel Paquete was born in Ponta Delgada (Azores) on the 15 June 1976.
Although coming from a family of musicians, he decided at early age to follow science studies in order to become an Engineer.
At 18 years old, something changed in his mind and he felt an urge to learn music. His studies in classical guitar started in 1994 at the conservatory in Ponta Delgada, along with his studies in engineering at the University of the Azores.
In 1998 he went to Lisbon to continue his engineering studies. Not being able to study at a musical school, he self-taught important classical pieces like the “Recuerdos d'Allambra”, “Asturias” and the Villa Lobos 12 studies.
In 2005 he recorded his first solo album “Luna Aquarius”, with instrumental songs that he composed for classical guitar. These songs reflected his classical background as well as his Jazz, Rock and Grunge influences.
In 2007 he started an alternative music project where he began to explore his electrical side, giving birth to his second album “Morpheaden”, which was released in 2011.
Important events in which he participated in the last years include, not exclusively, the “Festival des Cordes Pincées” (Morocco 2004), the “Canadian Guitar Festival” (Kingston 2007) and the “One Man Band Fest” (Montréal 2013).
He received regional awards in 2001 and 2006 for his compositions and guitar performances.
He currently lives in Ponta Delgada, where he works on his next album.
